Lucille Mae Moore Mattingly, 92, Bardstown

Lucille Mae Moore Mattingly, 92, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Colonial Health and Rehab.  She was born Jan. 27, 1919, in Boyle County. She was a homemaker who retired from the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Laundry and was a member of St. Joseph Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. “Buster” Mattingly; three sons, Donald Lee Mattingly, Melvin Clinton Mattingly and William E. “Billy” Mattingly; one brother, Earl Moore; and two sisters, Elizabeth Welker and Clyda Lamb.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mary Etta Mattingly of Bardstown; 12   grandchildren, Sandy Ulrich, Ernie Mattingly, Shannon Clark, David Redding, Peggy Peery, Lee Mattingly, Tim Mattingly, Maria Hamshaw, Trisha Hildebrandt, Sharon Yzewski, Joe and Jeff Mattingly; 21 great-grandchildren; and  several great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.  The Rev. Joseph Batcheldor will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at the Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home with a prayer service 7 p.m. Sunday conducted by Deacon Dick Walsh.

Memorial contributions may be made for Masses for the deceased.
