Bardstowm woman cited for falsely reporting being robbed at gunpoint
Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, 1:45 p.m. – A Bardstown woman was cited Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, for falsely reporting an incident after she claimed she had been robbed at gunpoint in the Kroger parking lot.
Barbara Nalley, 61, told police she had been robbed in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 8th. She said a black male with a handgun stopped her in the Kroger parking lot and demanded cash. She said she gave the man $250 in cash and the man fled on foot.
Officer Michael Medley interviewed Nalley and later reviewed Kroger’s security video. When he contacted Nalley and questioned the validity of the robbery allegation, she admitted to falsely reporting the incident.
She was cited to Nelson District Court.
