Firefighters called to Botland area for power transformer fire

Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, 11 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the 4600 block of US 150, Springfield Road, for a transformer fire early Wednesday morning. The call came to firefighters came in about 6:20 a.m. Firefighters met with a utility crew who told them they had just replaced a power transformer on the utility pole in question and there was no fire now. Firefighters were on scene less than 10 minutes.
