Jennie Ava ‘Jen’ Miller Harned, 99, Lyons Station

Jennie Ava “Jen” Miller Harned, 99, formerly of Lyons Station, died Sunday Jan. 15, 2012, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville just 19 days shy of her 100th birthday.

She was a member of Rolling Fork Baptist Church, a former Lyons Homemakers and WMU Women’s Missionary and loved UK basketball.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lee “L.L.” Harned; her parents, Joshua and Rebecca Stiles Miller; four sisters, Matt Johnson, Chris Miller, Suda Crady, and Ada Parks; and two brothers, Louis and Demus Miller.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and many great nieces, great nephews and friends.

The funeral will be 2 p.m.. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Rolling Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Nichols officiating.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven. Burial is in the church cemetery.
