Pair arrested after violating protective orders against each other
Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, 10:15 a.m. — A man and woman were arrested Wednesday morning for violation of protective orders each had against the other.
About 6:25 Wednesday morning, a woman who lived in the 1100 block of Bloomfield Road in Bardstown called Nelson County Dispatch to report a man whom she had a protective order against was “talking crazy” and in possession of a firearm. A Nelson County deputy sheriff and a Bardstown Police officer responded to the location to investigate. Officers learned both individuals had protective orders against each other barring contact between them. John Matthew Jackson, 18, and Amber Colvin, 19, were arrested for violation of a protective order and lodged in the Nelson County Jail. Jackson had an outstanding warrant stemming from a recent Nelson Circuit Court indictment, and he was also charged with first-degree burglary and complicity to same; tampering with physical evidence and complicity to same; and falsely reporting an incident.
