Firefighters find old detector was cause of active fire alarm
Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, 9:05 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to the 10200 block of Louisville Road for an active alarm in a mobile home. Firefighters arrived and determined the problem was a very old smoke detector and there was no fire. Firefighters were on the scene for less than 10 minutes. Two new battery-operated detectors were installed in the house. The call to Nelson County Dispatch came in about 8:50 Thursday morning.
