Burned lunch prompts fire department response to hospital
Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, 1:09 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to an active alarm at Flaget Memorial Hospital just after noon Thursday. Firefighters discovered burned food in an oven in the third-floor dining room activated a detector. Firefighters confirmed the activation source and cleared the scene. The alarm system had been reset by the time firefighters arrive, and no action was necessary.
