Driver trapped for hours in pickup after crashing off Louisville Road

Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, 12:20 p.m. — A 63-year-old man was trapped for several hours early Sunday morning after the pickup truck he was driving left Louisville Road near High Grove and crashed down a 20-foot embankment. Police and Nelson Coujnty EMS were called at 3:35 Sunday morning for a vehicle off that had left Louisville Road between KY 480 and High Grove. The Bardstown Fire Department responded to assist EMS with getting the patient out of the vehicle to the ambulance. The man told EMTs he had been trapped in his truck for two or three hours. He was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital complaining of being cold, as well as chest and back pain and multiple scrapes and bruises.
