Mary Theresa Boone, 91, New Hope

Mary Theresa Boone, 91, of New Hope, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was the former Mary Theresa Fields, a native of Marion County and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Hope.  She was an active worker in the church for many years and worked in food service at St. Vincent de Paul School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Ignatius Boone; her parents, Walter and Angie Cusick Fields; two sisters, Anna  B. White and Juanita White; and a daughter, Ann Mattingly.

She is survived by two daughters, Frances (Jerome) Boone Goodman of Elizabethtown, and Mary (Jeff) Thomas of Bardstown; a son-in-law, Joe Mattingly of Bardstown; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, who will greatly miss her hugs and kisses.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home in Bardstown with the Rev. Ken Fortener and Bro. Dan Waits officiating.  Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in New Hope.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home of Bardstown.
