Bardstown man arrested after being caught in residential garage
Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, 9:19 a.m. — A Bardstown man was arrested Wednesday morning on burglary charges after he was confronted by the resident whose garage the man was attempting to burglarize. The resident of a home in the 100 block of Barberry Lane told police he heard his burglar alarm go off in his garage. He found a man in his garage and confronted him. The man fled the garage and ran to a car, described as a dark-colored 1999 Chevrolet. The resident noted the license tag on the car and called police. Officers located the car at the registered owners’ Fern Lea Circle address. After interviewing the suspect, the victim positively identified the suspect. The man was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail. Police received the call about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday.
