Bardstown Fire Department responds to mobile home fire on Burba Road

Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, 7:25 p.m. — A Burba Road mobile home burned to the ground Wednesday evening after a structure fire was reported at 6:45 p.m. Bardstown firefighters responding to the fire at 1080 Burba Road, and Nelson County EMS sent a ambulance to stand by at the scene. Firefighters reported the structure was in the process of being demolished and firefighters worked to protect powerlines and surrounding property from damage. The property owner said the fire could burn itself out since the structure was being demolished anyway. Firefighters were on scene for only a short time.
