Suicidal individual agrees to talk to police, transport to Flaget Hospital

Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, 11:50 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office were called to a New Haven Road residence about 10:20 Thursday evening for a report of an individual with suicidal thoughts. Police found a man in his 40s who had a loaded gun and  threatened to harm himself. Police talked the man into putting the weapon away. The man agreed to go to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Police were on the scene for about an hour.
