Officers search the Bellwood Road area for grounded eagle
Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, 11:58 a.m. — A deputy sheriff and a conservation officer from the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources searched Saturday morning for an eagle that had been covered with a jacket and moved from the middle of Bellwood Road. The call came in about 9:50 Saturday morning from a Fed Ex delivery driver who called Nelson County Dispatch to report that a woman found the eagle and moved it to safety on the side of the road. The driver did not know the exact address where the woman and eagle were located. The call came from the Boston end of Bellwood Road. Officers checked the full length of Bellwood Road but were unable to locate the woman or the bird.
