Christine Ellen Price, 89, Bardstown

Christine Ellen Price, 89, of Bardstown, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012 at University of Louisville Hospital. She was the former Christine Ellen Smith, a native of Nelson County, a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Price; her parents; John & Hester Waldridge Smith; a daughter, Sharon Price; three sisters, Mazetta Hardin, Lil Janes, and Gertrude Smith-Young; and four brothers, Everett Smith, Gilbert “Red” Smith, Robert Smith, and Donnie “Q-Ball” Smith.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Price of Bardstown; seven sons, Kenny (Kay) Beam of Lebanon Junction, Terry (Beverly) Price, Gary (Sherry) Price, Wayne Price, Ralph Price, Tommy (Charlene) Price and  Jerry Price, all of Bardstown; one sister, Nancy Blaine of Louisville; one brother, Charlie (Mary) Smith of Bardstown; 27 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at the Greenwell Houghlin Northside Funeral Home in Bardstown with Brother Freddy Riggs and Brother Allen Beam officiating. Burial will be in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the Greenwell Houghlin Northside Funeral Home in Bardstown.
