Winter weather moving into Central Kentucky beginning Friday

Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 — Nelson County and all of Central Kentucky is under a Winter Weather Advisory for snow beginning Friday at 6 p.m. and ending at noon Saturday.

The National Weather Service anticipates rain changing to snow will move into our area beginning Friday, changing to snow late Friday and overnight Saturday, creating hazardous driving conditions Friday night and Saturday.

Accumulations of up to an inch, with totals of 1 to 2 inches in areas north of the Blue Grass Parkway.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties in the affected areas. For more information visit http://www.crh.noaa.gov/lmk/.
