Thomas Ray Bartley, 76, Bardstown


Thomas Ray Bartley, 76, of Bardstown died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at his daughter’s residence. He was born on June 30, 1935, in Nelson County and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was a former 20 year employee of Ray Parrish and Sons and retired after working as a self-employed plumber.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ivie Lyvers Bartley; his parents, James Leonard and Elizabeth Reid Bartley; four brothers, James, J.B., Talbott and Monroe Bartley; and two sisters, Lucille Bartley and Lanie Tibbs.

He is survived by four sons, Wayne Bartley, Milbert Bartley, Kenneth Bartley and Dale Bartley, all of Bardstown; five daughters, Sheila Bickett, Marsha Bryan, Sharon Roby, Stephanie Hahn and Tina Dickerson, all of Bardstown; a brother, Tony Bartley of Bardstown; a sister, Henlee Greenwell of Bardstown; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private visitation and funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, conducted by Deacon Sam Filiatreau at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
