Snow-covered roadways create headache for morning drivers

Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, 9 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County EMS were called to the Samuels end of Samuels Road, KY509 for a single-vehicle rollover accident with possible entrapment. After finding the patient was not trapped, firefighters disconnected the vehicles battery. Firefighters reported a 35-year-old woman was complaining of neck and chest pain. She was evaluated by EMS and refused transport to the hospital. First-responders requested a salt truck respond to the area to treat KY 509 due to numerous areas of ice on the roadway.

While police, fire and EMS were responding to this accident, a non-injury three-car crash occurred on US31E, Louisville Road, near the Cox’s Creek Post Office about 6 miles north of Bardstown.
