Minnie Frances Wheeler, 96, Bardstown
Minnie Frances Wheeler, 96, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown.
She was the former Minnie Frances Mudd, a native of Bloomfield and a retired cook. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bardstown, a mother of the church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in California.
She was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Bertha Ann Hays Mudd. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Wheeler; two brothers, Charles Mudd and William Mudd Jr.; and two nieces, Barbra and Mary Elizabeth Mudd.
Survivors include four nieces, Minnie (Penny) Lamar and Sue (Charles) Stevenson both of Bloomfield, Betty Jean Mudd of Bardstown and Wanda Rose Mudd of Louisville; three nephews, William Isaac Mudd and David Anthony Mudd both of Bardstown, Phillip (Hazel) Mudd of Hopkinsville; and two special friends, Robert and Kathleen Llewellyn of Bardstown, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 a the Bardstown First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Michael N. Smith. Burial is in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at the Bardstown First Baptist Church.
