Woodlawn Road garage a total loss in Thursday night blaze

Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, 12:41 a.m. — A detached garage at a home in the 4000 block of Woodlawn Road suffered heavy damage after it caught fire and burned about 9:30 Thursday night. The garage was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived. Three vehicles were also reportedly damaged in the blaze. Firefighters were at the fire scene for about 90 minutes. Woodlawn Road was blocked to through traffic as firefighters attacked the fire. The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and a Nelson County EMS squad also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
