Five injured in rollover crash on Louisville Road in Cox’s Creek

Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, 5 p.m. — An early morning injury accident near Cox’s Creek Elementary School sent five people to the hospital Sunday about 6 a.m. Police, fire and EMS were dispatched about 5:49 Sunday morning to 5866 Louisville Road for a reported injury crash and vehicle rollover. Two victims – a man in his 20s with a leg injury who was ejected from his vehicle, and a man in his 50s with unknown injuries — were flown to University Hospital for treatment. Three other victims – a 22-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl – were taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment. One lane of Louisville Road was closed while first-responders worked the accident scene. Several of the injured were believed to be from Louisville.
