One victim airlifted Monday morning from BG Parkway injury accident

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, 1 a.m. — A Leitchfield man was seriously injured Monday morning about 10:30 after being ejected from the vehicle involved in a crash in the westbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway on the Washington-Nelson County line. Ema Sapp Jr., 64, was airlifted by helicopter from the scene for treatment at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Nelson County EMS, the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County EMS, and the Willisburg Fire Department responded to the accident. The Kentucky State Police investigated the accident.
