Steven T. Reiter, 56, New Haven

Steven T. Reiter, 56, of New Haven, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his home. He was a member of St. Catharine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. He was a 1974 graduate of Nelson County High School. He was born Jan. 1, 1956, in Bardstown and was the son of the late John Walter and Alice May Barker Reiter. He retired after 35 years from Reiter Construction Company.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lester E. and Ida Luensman Barker; his paternal grandfather, George M. Reiter; a brother, Ricky Reiter; and one sister, Jean Marie “Boogie” Reiter Hagan.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Connie Miracle Reiter of New Haven; two sons, Ricky (Rebecca) Reiter and Pat (Jill) Reiter, both of Bardstown; three sisters, Pam (Freddy) DeWitt and Michelle (Scott) Weakley, both of New Haven, and Linda (Rick) Reeser of Fisherville; three brothers, Bobby Joe Reiter and Michael Reiter, both of New Haven, and John M. (Billie Jo) Reiter of Bardstown; paternal grandmother, Lucille O’Bryan Reiter of New Haven; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at St. Catharine of Alexandria Catholic Church with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial was in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church cemetery in New Hope.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
