Joseph Dennis ‘Denny’ Ritchie, 44, of Bardstown

Joseph Dennis “Denny” Ritchie, 44, of Bardstown, died Thursday Feb. 23, 2012, at his residence.  He was born Dec. 12, 1967, in Bardstown and was a 1986 graduate of Bardstown High School. He was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Lewis Ritchie and Gertrude Ritchie.

He is survived by his fiancée’, Velene “Val” Spalding; a son, David Ritchie; two daughters, Kelli Jo Ritchie, and Brittany Douglas all of Bardstown; two sisters, Patti (Dudley) Ritchie Dailey of Mount Sterling, and Peggy Smith of Bardstown; two brothers, Joseph (Jackie) Scott Ritchie of New Haven, and Steve (Julie) Ritchie of Bardstown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service is 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 26, 2012, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Deacon Joe Livers will officiate.

Visitation is 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may go toward the funeral service of Joseph Dennis “Denny” Ritchie.
