Bardstown woman indicted after taking sons in January and disappearing

Thursday, May 22, 2014, 9:30 a.m. — A Bardstown woman who picked up her sons from school and disappeared with them earlier this year was indicted Wednesday by a Nelson County grand jury on charges of custodial interference.

Rachael Lynn Madison, 42, was sought by Kentucky State Police after she picked up her sons, ages 6 and 8, from their Nelson County school on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, and disappeared. She and her sons were located by KSP troopers in a mobile home near Bowling Green on Feb. 17.

Madison was indicted on two charges of custodial interference. Bond was set at $9,500 cash only, plus conditions.
