Bardstown Fire called to truck burning with full load of diesel fuel

Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, 4:40 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Sunday afternoon to a report of a pickup truck on fire on Stringtown Road near its intersection with Hilton Lane. Firefighters were dispatched at 2:43 p.m. to the truck fire, which was reported as a diesel pickup truck with a full load of fuel. The truck was fully involved in flames with firefighter arrived on scene. The fire was extinguished and firefighters cleaned off the roadway. Firefighters were on scene for about an hour.
