Sandra Denise Rust, 52, Hodgenville, formerly of New Haven
Sandra Denise Rust, 52, of Hodgenville, formerly of New Haven, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at the Cancer Center of America in Newnan, Ga. She was born April 27, 1962, the daughter of Charles Louis Sr. and Mary Ann DeMar Rust. She was a member of St. Catharine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven. She was employed at Magna Seating in Shepherdsville and worked and was associated with the William R. Rust Funeral Homes. She was a graduate of LaRue County High School Class of 1980.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Rust Sr.; one sister, Mary Rust; one brother, Gary E. “Squirrel” Rust; one nephew, Glen E. Stratton III; her maternal grandparents, James “Jim” and Mary Alice Mattingly DeMar; and her paternal grandparents, James E. and Edna Seward Rust.
She is survived by twin children, Kelsey Ann and Stephen Elijah Brady of Hodgenville; her significant other, Stephen Brady of Hodgenville; her mother, Mary Ann DeMar Rust of New Haven; one sister, Beverly (Dana) DeSpain of Lyons Station; five brothers, Charles L. “Chuck” Rust of Boston, Jeff (Vicki) Rust of Hodgenville, John (Crystal) Rust of Lyons Station, and William R. “Ronnie” Rust and Bruce Rust, both of New Haven; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at St. Catharine of Alexandria Catholic Church in New Haven with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at the William R. Rust Hodgenville Chapel, 612 North Lincoln Blvd, Hodgenville with prayers at 6 p.m.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
