Semi crash closes eastbound lanes of BG Parkway for hours Wednesday

Wednesday, June 10, 2015, 4 p.m. — The eastbound lanes of the Bluegrass Parkway were closed for several hours Wednesday following a crash involving a Fed Ex double-trailer tractor-trailer rig.

At about 7:55 a.m., Nelson County EMS, the Bardstown Fire Department and Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 13 mile marker for the overturned truck in the parkway’s eastbound lanes.

The 62-year-old semi driver was transported by EMS to Hardin Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, including lacerations on his right arm and complaints of leg pain.

The eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours while the crash was cleaned up.
