Semi rollover crash closes eastbound lanes of the BG Parkway

Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, 2:30 a.m. — One person was injured early Tuesday when a semi tractor-trailer rig left the roadway and overturned in the 
eastbound lanes of the Bluegrass Parkway. Nelson County EMS, Nelson County Fire & Rescue and police were dispatched at 1:55 a.m. for a rollover crash at the parkway’s 27 mile marker. The trailer ruptured in the rollover crash, spreading debris and cargo all over the eastbound lanes. The 47-year-old driver from Tennessee was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital with minor injuries for evaluation and treatment. The roadway was closed and remains closed Tuesday morning while the contents of the trailer are unloaded from the overturned truck and moved to another truck.
