Obituary: Agnes Evelyn Williamson, 86, New Hope
Agnes Evelyn Williamson, 86, of New Hope, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. She was born March 8, 1932, in New Hope. She was a former employee of Owens-Illinois in Bardstown and a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Hardin “Turk” Williamson (1997); her parents, Edward Leonard and Nora Agnes Woods Davis; one sister, Mary Zelma Kemper; and four brothers, George Davis, A.L. Davis, Roy Davis and Charles Davis.
Survivors include six daughters, Ann Metcalf (Philip), Carol Greenwell, Mary Jane Ash (Danny) and Patty Reid (Mark) all of New Hope, Sharon Ferguson (Danny Fenwick) of Raywick and Becky Essex (Darrell) of Loretto; two sons, Gene Williamson (Cathy) and Bobby Williamson, both of New Hope; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church Street, New Hope, with the Rev. Kenneth R. Fortener officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon James A. Cecil.
Pallbearers are Danny Fenwick, Bobby “Bobcat” Williamson, Bob “Lil Bob” Williamson, Becky Essex, Caleb Essex and Gene Williamson.
The Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
