Obituary: Mary Ruth Baird, 95, New Haven

Mary Ruth Baird, 95, of New Haven, died March 17, 2019, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She worked as a private bookkeeper, was an employee of Mack Manufacturing for 25 years, an employee of the Bardstown Sewing Factory, a volunteer for 12 years at Hardin Memorial Hospital, and the matriarch of G. B. Howell Lane.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Washer; and her husband of 59 years, J.M. Baird.

She is survived by one sister, Thelma Miracle; two nephews, Jimmy Miracle and Wayne Miracle; and her extended family on G. B. Howell Lane.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with burial in the Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation is 9-11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
