Springfield man charged, arrested for alleged role in road rage incident

Wednesday, March 20, 2019 — A Springfield man operating a tractor-trailer rig was arrested Tuesday following a road rage incident in Spencer County.
Kevin Ray Bewley, 30, of Springfield, was arrested by Kentucky State Police after he allegedly fired shots with a handgun at another driver, identified by WAVE TV 3 News as Curtis Moore, 24.
Moore told WAVE he was heading home on KY 44 East on Tuesday afternoon when the truck came up on him quickly. Moore said his speedometer wasn’t working, but he thought he was keeping up with traffic. After getting run off the shoulder of the road by the semi driver, Moore began following the truck in order to get the license tag.
The truck driver stopped his rig in the middle of the road. As Moore drove around the truck, he saw a hand gun being held outside the driver-side window and fired, with three rounds striking his truck.
Bewley was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and carrying a concealed weapons. He was lodged in the Spencer County Jail.
