Bardstown Police arrest suspect for 2016 shooting death of Bardstown man

Friday, Aug. 16, 2019 — The Bardstown Police Department made an arrest in connection with the investigation of the 2016 murder of a Bardstown man at an apartment in the Maple Hill neighborhood.

Robert Zachary Tate, 26, of Bardstown, was arrested Friday by Bardstown Police and charged with the murder of Michael Wayne Unseld.

Unseld died from gunshot wounds he received just before midnight on Friday, June 3, 2016, in a second-floor apartment over the former Broken Tee Night Club at 707 West Stephen Foster Ave. He later died at Flaget Memorial Hospital.
