Alene Redmon, 90, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Friendship Manor inPee Wee Valley,Ky. She was native of Nelson County and a former resident of Louisville and Fairhope, Ala. She was a former employee of Wish’s Drug Store and the Blue Boar Cafeteria and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her husband Everett C. Redmon; her parents, Lanas and Pearl Barr Coulter; a son, Robert Dale Redmon; two sisters, Mattie Goodlett and Gertrude McGinnis; and two brothers, Cleo and Malcolm Coulter.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Redmon of Louisville and Gerald (Margaret) Redmon of Bay Minnette, Ala.; five grandchildren, Adam, David, Jeffery, Jason & Jeremy Redmon; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 28, 2011, from the Houghlin Funeral Home by Brother Ross Brodfuehrer with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at the Houghlin Funeral in Bloomfield.
