Alta Lucille Ashcraft, 63, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday Aug. 22, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was the former Alta Lucille Hughes. She was a native of Shelby County and a homemaker.
She was the daughter of the late John William and Christine Gibbs Hughes.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Ashcraft Sr.; one son, Charlie Ashcraft Jr. of Bloomfield; one daughter, Anita Lynn Simpson and her husband Martin, both of Springfield; two brothers, Fred Thomas Hughes of Taylorsville, Jesse Hughes and his wife Ann, both of Louisville; and two sisters, Carol Embry and her husband Larry, both of Mount Washington, and Mary Miller and her husband Frank, both of Hillview.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Karl Lusk officiating. Burial is in the Ashcraft family cemetery in Bloomfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
