Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, 11 p.m. — Bardstown Police arrested two men Monday evening after they allegedly passed a series of fake $100 bills at a number of Bardstown-area businesses.

Police contacted a number of businesses in the area of Kentucky Home Square after they found fast food bags in the vehicle with warm food inside. The stopped at a number of restaurants and retail businesses and successfully passed the counterfeit bills, including two area minit marts. One business who accepted a fake $100 bill said their counterfeit detection pens passed the bill, but it lacked the security features found on real $100 bills.
The men were arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing, and individuals with information can contact Bardstown Police, (502) 348-6811 or Nelson County Dispatch, (502) 348-3211.
