Berry files to keep District 2 seat on the Nelson County board of education

Friday, July 22, 2016, 1 p.m. — Diane F. Berry, 65, of Poplar Flat Road, has filed for re-election to represent District 2 on the Nelson County Board of Education.

Berry is current serving as board chair.

Berry filed her candidacy paperwork Friday at the Nelson County Clerk’s office. School board races are non-partisan.

Three of the five county school board seats are up for election this November — Districts 2, 3 and 5.

The deadline to file to run as a candidate in non-partisan local races — including city school board, county school board and city council races in Bardstown, New Haven, Bloomfield and Fairfield — is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.
