Carrie Gill Vaughn, 75, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born Nov. 29, 1937, in Limestone County, Ala. She was a graduate of Trinity High School and retired after 30 years of employment with Philip Morris as a lab technician.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Louis Vaughn; her parents, Davie and Maggie Garrett Gill; nine brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by one sister, Ovella Turner of Sellersburg, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; and two special pet companions, Chico and Nikki.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Pastor Maurice Turner will officiate.
Visitation is noon-1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the funeral home.
Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
