Charles Henry Downs, 71, of Bardstown, died Saturday Oct. 15, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born Oct. 21, 1939, in Bardstown and a retired employee of Mago Construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Virginia Downs; and stepfather, James Jimmy Dean.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Howard “Howie” Wickliffe, and Timmy Downs both of Bardstown; a daughter, Janet Oyola of Elizabethtown; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.>
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at Barlow Funeral Home.
