Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Louise Coons, 50, New Haven

Cynthia “Cindy” Louise Coons, 50 of New Haven, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a Catholic by faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Jake Coons and Theresa Flora “Flossie” Clark Kennedy; and one sister, Mary Debra ‘Debbie” Rust.

Survivors include two sons, Joshua Lee “Josh” Coons of New Haven and Kaleb Lee Switzer of Boston; one daughter, Natasha Lynne Switzer of New Haven; and four grandchildren.

The funeral is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with Bro. Bruce Nichols presiding.

Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the funeral home with cremation to follow.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Joseph L Greenwell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
