Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 — One person was arrested Wednesday afternoon after the pickup truck he was operating left Louisville Road and hit a utility pole near Nazareth Farms subdivision.
Nelson County EMS, the Nelson County Fire Department and Nelson County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 3 p.m. for what was first reported as an injury accident. The truck’s impact broke off the utility pole and brought down the wires it was holding. First-responders determined the lines were cable TV and telephone lines.
The man operating the pickup truck refused treatment and transport by EMS. He was taken into custody and arrested after it was determined his operators license was suspended.
The accident closed both lanes of Louisville Road for about 30 minutes.
