Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, 9 a.m. — With today’s 4 p.m. election filing deadline swiftly approaching, two more candidates have filed for seats on the six-member Bloomfield City Council.
On Monday, Anne Martin, 59, a resident of Taylorsville Road, filed as a candidate for a seat on the Bloomfield City Council.
Tuesday morning, Lynn Suzanne Marks, 56, a resident of Chaplin Road, also filed for a seat on the council.
Neither Martin nor Marks are currently members of the council.
The Nelson County Gazette will report updates on Facebook directly from the Nelson County Clerk’s office as the 4 p.m. filing deadline arrives.
The General Election is Nov. 8th.
