Elizabeth Geneive “Eva” Norris Cecil, 96, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Colonial Health & Rehab Center. She was born May 9, 1916, in Bardstown. She was a retired seamstress for Vic Tone Cleaners and of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Cecil; one son, Joe Cecil; her parents, Ora and Annie Norris; six brothers, Raymond Norris, Perlan Norris, Albertus Norris, Oscar Norris, Jodie Norris, and Ora Norris Jr.; one sister, Rosaline Clark; and one granddaughter.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Jean Cecil of Bardstown; one sister, Marie Nalley of Indiana; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
