Eric Michael Gutierres, 32, of Bardstown, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born March 18, 1981, in Fort Campbell. He was an employee of Wal-Mart and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his niece, Brittany Bartley; maternal grandparents, Harold and Benita Filiatreau; paternal grandfather, Manuel Gutierres; and paternal grandmother, Rose Ronia.
He is survived by his parents, Kelvin and Pat Filiatreau Gutierres of Bardstown; two sisters, Cheroly (David) Ruiz of Washington, D.C., and Jennifer Gutierres-Chesser of Bardstown; and five nieces and nephews, Gabby Ruiz, David Ruiz, Grace Ruiz, Michael Ruiz, and Mahayla Chesser.
The funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Eve will officiate.
Visitation is 3–8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, and 9–10:15 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown. A prayer service will be held Sunday evening.
Memorial contributions may go to Kosair Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society of Nelson County.
