Ernest H. Coulter Jr., 79, of Lexington, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at St. 
Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born March 24, 1934, in Washington County. He was a retired engineer for the Kennoy Co. and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was the son of the late Ernest H. “Red” and Mattie Kays Coulter Sr. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Coulter and Christine Sowder; and one brother, Forest Coulter.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pati” Coulter; two daughters, Marcie Coulter of California and Missie Coulter of Versailles; and one sister Janet Yates of Shepherdsville.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin. Bro. Gary True will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield. who is in charge of arrangements.
