Fire department conducts odor investigation on Hurstland Drive

Monday, July 8, 2013, 9:22 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Monday morning at about 8:30 to the 100 block of Hurstland Drive for an report of a strong chemical smell in the kitchen of the residence. Firefighters investigated and determined the source was the fuel tank of a lawn mower in a storage area in the home’s garage. Firefighters were on the scene for about 10 minutes.
