Frieda Bartlett, 87, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 
Colonial Health and Rehab in Bardstown. She was born April 22, 1926, in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia), and was the former Frieda Braun. She was a former resident of Lexington and Elizabethtown. She was a homemaker and attended Parkway Baptist Church and Severns Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James. C. Bartlett Jr.; her parents, Ignatz and Johanna Kurzweil Braun; and one daughter, Linda Susan Bartlett Norman.
She is survived by two sons, David (Ellie) Bartlett of Fort Myers, Fla. and John (Holly) Bartlett of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Virginia Ann Bartlett Long of Lexington; one son-in-law, William Norman of Louisville; and six grandchildren, Susan Bartlett King, Rachel Norman Kemp, Matthew David Bartlett, John S. Norman, Adrienne E. Bartlett and Christopher J. Bartlett.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown
