Harry Lewis “Lew” Parrish, 77, of Nelsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Boston.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lila Neuleib Parrish; his parents, John William and Lela Lucille Crady Parrish; and two brothers, Marvin and Junior Parrish.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta Nall Parrish; three sons, Richard Parrish, Bill Parrish and Dennis Parrish, all of Geneseo, Ill.; one daughter, Sue Robinson, Kewanee, Ill.; one stepson, Barry Nall of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Dorothy Clemons of Nelsonville, and Mattie Gibson of New Haven; four brothers, Donald Parrish and Jimmy Parrish, both of Nelsonville, Larry Parrish of Louisville, and Foster Parrish of Corapeake, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and seven grandchildren.
The funeral is 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Joseph L. Funeral Home in New Haven with Bro. Bruce Nichols presiding.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
