Tuesday, July 12, 2011, 5 p.m. — The norther half of Nelson County is under a Flash Flood Warning until 8 p.m. this evening. The National Weather Service issued the warning after slow-moving thunderstorms dropped heavy rainfall across Central Kentucky. The warned area includes southwestern Anderson and Spencer County and northern Washington County.
The National Weather Service reports more than 2 inches of rain in the last hour has created possible water ponding conditions on local roadways, making travel hazardous.
