
James Wilbur Brady, 90, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Raywick. He was a World War II Army veteran who received ribbons for the Asiatic-Pacifict Theater with two Bronze Stars and the American Theater. He received medals for Good Conduct, World War II Victory, and a Bronze Arrowhead.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Hazel Powell Brady (Sept. 16, 2013); his parents, Benjamin Francis and Cora Lee Stepp Brady; infant sister Eunice Brady; and one brother, Joseph Phillip Brady.
Survivors include two sons, James Larry (Rita) Brady and David Allen (Patricia) Brady, both of Lebanon; four daughters, Linda Faye (Austin) Mudd of Springfield, Wanda Sue (Curtis) Ice of Bardstown, Patricia Ann Brady and Lisa Michelle Brady, both of Lebanon; five sisters, Cordie Smith of Springfield, Catherine Medley of Bardstown, Lottie Shaw of Louisville, Theresa Shaw of Fort Myers, Fla., and Bernadine Spalding of Bardstown; one brother, Cloyd Brady, of St. Joe; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and his caregivers, Sue Tucker and T.J. Tungate.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial is in Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Bosley Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. prayer service conducted by Mike Luescher.
Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
