Joseph B. ‘Joe; Riggs, Sr, 42, Cox’s Creek

Joseph B. “Joe” Riggs, Sr, 42, of Cox’s Creek, died Sunday, June 17, 2012, at his father’s home.

He was born October 28, 1969, in Louisville and worked as a painting contractor. He was a member of Iron Order Motorcycle Club and Parkway Baptist Church in Bardstown.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jo Riggs and his stepmother, Ruth Riggs.

Survivors include his wife, Kim Fennell Riggs; two sons, Joey Riggs, Jr. and his wife Tina Riggs, and David Riggs; two daughters, Tara Fennell and Karin Riggs; his father, David Riggs of Cox’s Creek; his mother, Paula Hildrich of Ironton, Ohio; one brother, Timmy White of Mount Eden; two sisters, Tammy Wayne of West Virginia and Patsy Riggs and her husband Tommy Riggs of Louisville; two grandsons, Joseph Bruce Riggs III and Chace Fitzner, all of Cox’s Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Chaplain Doc Father will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home.
